Test Execution Summary Skill

The Test Execution Summary skill helps teams quickly understand the current status of their test executions. It gives a high-level summary of test executions based on the criteria provided in the prompt.

This skill only provides an overview. It does not show details for individual test executions and does not let you view specific execution records.

You can use this skill to get a quick summary of execution results without opening reports or applying filters. In Rovo, you can simply ask for the execution summary in chat and get the information instantly.

How This Skill Works

You can use this skill to do the following:

  • Summarize test executions that match specific criteria

  • Review the overall execution health for a project, release, cycle, or plan

  • Understand the breakdown of execution results

  • Quickly identify whether execution activity is on track

What This Skill Cannot Do

This skill cannot do the following:

  • Return details for individual test executions

  • Open or inspect a specific execution record

  • Provide step-level or record-level execution details

  • Drill down beyond the summary view

When to Use the Skill

Use this skill when you need a quick summary of execution results for:

  • A project

  • A release

  • A test cycle

  • A test plan

  • A filtered set of executions

This is especially useful for release reviews, daily check-ins, and stakeholder updates.

Example Prompts

Here are some example prompts you can use in Rovo:

  • Show me a test execution summary for test cycle REG-R24

  • Show me a test execution summary for project ZEP

  • Summarize test executions for release 10.0 in MD space

  • Show the test execution summary for test plan Mobile Regression

  • What is the execution summary for tests executed this week?

  • Show the execution status breakdown for space ZEP with all test executions

  • Give me the summary for the last test execution in cycle Payments Regression in MD space

Note

  • This skill provides summary information only.

  • The results depend on the criteria included in the prompt.

  • More specific criteria return a more focused summary.

  • Some filters expect exact values, such as keys, names, user keys, dates, or Jira release values.

  • The response reflects the current execution data available at the time of the request
